Studio Lighting Rig for Blender
Professional Studio Lighitng in Blender
The Studio Lighting Rig for Blender will enable you to add realistic studio lights to your scenes quickly and efficiently.
The rig comprises of a fully-featured Studio Light rig that can cycle between 16 different types of studio light, from softboxes to spotlights to umbrellas, and change these interactively at any time. This rig gives you enormous control over the quality of your reflections and allows you to get results that are impossible with area lights.
The included lights are based on HDR images which means that they render faster and more cleanly than area lights, and unlike area lights you can add as many lights to your scene as you need without slowing your render times.
As well as the main Studio Light rig, the add-on also includes four custom studio environments (with more to follow). These range from regular studios to specialised setups for rendering glassware and other transparent objects.
The main benefit of using the Studio Lighting Rig is that you will get much more interesting and realistic reflections on your renders. Area lights create flat and hard reflections, but softboxes and umbrellas will generate nicer and more photoreal results.
With this rig you will be able to create professional-looking studio lighting very quickly and easily. The included controls will give you all the options you need in terms of visibility, brightness, and direction.
The Studio Lighting Kit is also a great way to complement my existing Instant Lighting Kit for those times when you need a precisely placed key light. By using the two kits together you can achieve great results extremely quickly, by using the Studio Lighting Rig for the main key light and the Instant Lighting Kit to take care of the environment. Of course you can also use the Studio Lighting Rig by itself to provide all your lighting, allowing you to control each light individually.
The kit works with Cycles in Blender.
