In the second part of this series on Motion Graphics in Modo, we take a deeper dive into some more complex projects. By leveraging Modo’s deep and powerful toolset you can solve any motion graphics challenge, and produce eye-catching animations.

Throughout this series the visuals were conceptualised first, and then problem-solving skills were then applied to achieve the desired result in Modo. The motivation behind this approach was to show that Modo can create beautiful and effective visuals, as opposed to tailoring the training to Modo’s perceived strengths and weaknesses. Most people think of Modo as a modelling package, and are not aware of the powerful animation toolset that has been developed over many years.

What the training aims to demonstrate is that Modo has a fully-featured toolset to tackle almost any Mograph task. Tools such as the Schematic View, Mesh Operations, Replicators, Particles, Falloffs, Procedural Texturing, and Rigging are all deeply integrated into Modo and work together to allow for very flexible and powerful solutions for animation and motion graphics productions.
